Creepy Redneck Dinosaur Mansion 3

Creepy Redneck Dinosaur Mansion 3 is a “matchroidvania” game, wherein the player explores a mansion full of dinosaurs in the sequel to two games that never actually existed. That’s right — there is no Creepy Redneck Dinosaur Mansion 1 or 2.

Built on the bones of a project of the same name, the original incarnations of this title were both canceled. The plot of those versions is referenced throughout the game as it takes a deep dive into the meta-narrative of a game being built and cancelled, as its denizens are left behind in an unreleased project.

I served as co-lead of the project, working with production to ensure everyone was tasked accordingly and kept their momentum. I also did a variety of work on the game itself, including writing, content/puzzle design, gameplay programming, and tools programming.

The game released on April 22, 2025, and is available on Steam. I’ll do more breakdowns someday, but for now, the bulk of my writing consisted of Chapter 3 and 4, and the slightly outdated writing sample for those can be found here.
