Game Jams
WHEELFOX 64 – WHEELJAM 2 – May 2026
I love Star Fox 64. I also host WHEELJAM yearly now. Last year, I didn’t get to participate due to timing, and this year I was determined to. Eventually I settled into a team, and we all started talking about Star Fox 64. This led to us making a game kind of like it.
I designed and coded the dialogue system, the boss, composed all the music, wrote the script, and voiced the main character, Wheelfox Sixtyfour.
UPDOG – PIG Squad Summer Slow Jam – July 2024
In 2020, I was part of the first wave of Keepers (moderators) of the Blaseball Discord server. Blaseball has since shut down, but I’ve kept in touch with those folks, and some of us decided to start making games together. The resulting game from our first jam was UPDOG, a typing game about walking so many dogs. I primarily implemented the gameplay and difficulty system, and generally ensured the UI scaled correctly.

Eye Eye, Cap’n! – VR Austin Jam 2018
Having worked at Owlchemy Labs for a couple years at this point, I wanted to create sort of the “anti” VR game — taking my knowledge of what was the “right” thing to do and deliberately going against it. The running joke was “a VR game where you sneeze your eyeballs out.” That concept was refined a bit and we came up with Eye Eye, Cap’n, where you launch an eyeball out of a telescope. This also marked my first collaboration with Matt Chapman of Homestar Runner.
Shreddin’ Metal – VR Austin Jam 2017
The 2017 game was Shreddin’ Metal, a simple VR wave shooter that used a Guitar Hero controller. We created a simple wave setup, and enlisted a composer to create simple riffs for us. After 5 waves and a boss fight, the game would end. The goal was to lean into a cool neon 80’s aesthetic and make something that was visually striking.
